École secondaire Esquimalt High School’s strength lies in its diversity. The school serves approximately 650 students in grades 9 to 12 in:
- the Township of Esquimalt
- the Town of View Royal
- the District of Saanich
- the City of Victoria and
- the Westshore (Colwood, Langford and Metchosin).
This is a diverse community including military housing as well as inner city and middle class neighbourhoods.

École Secondaire Esquimalt High School offers special programs for French Immersion, 4C Challenge Gifted Education, Student Leadership, Aboriginal Nations Education and Career Preparation Programs in General Mechanics and Culinary Arts.
