As stated in Esquimalt High School’s Code of Conduct, “The Esquimalt family of schools K-12, in partnership with our parents and our community, are working together to develop socially responsible citizens.” Academic integrity is fundamental to social responsibility.
At Esquimalt High School it is expected that students will practice academic honesty and personal integrity by refusing to be involved with plagiarism, cheating, theft of evaluation instruments, use of unauthorized aids, or false representation of identity.
The tools below can help ensure that all students, parents, and staff understand the constantly changing variety of tools and practices that could affect the integrity of students’ work.
More information about plagiarism, generative artificial intelligence (AI), copyright and creative commons licensing is available on our school library learning commons website.
