Peer Tutors

At Esquimalt High School we offer tutoring help in a variety of subjects at lunch, after school and during class times.  Peer Tutors strive to bring out the best in others. As a result, we continue to foster the positive attitudes and traditions of excellence which are hallmarks of the Esquimalt High School community.

The goal of the EHS Peer Tutoring Program is to provide academic learning support for students of all abilities. Student tutors volunteer their spare time to assist with:

  • homework
  • notebook organization
  • study skills and
  • exam preparation

Peer tutors help to increase self-confidence while also improving attitudes about academics. A weekly meeting is encouraged to gain the support and encouragement which are key elements to academic success.

For more information check out the ESQ Peer Tutoring Wiki.  In the Request a Peer Tutor section, you can find information on how to be promptly paired with a Peer Tutor who will meet with you at your convenience.
